The landscape industry is constantly evolving, and the new technology we use today allows us to translate a new landscape to our customers better than ever before. The design process is the foundation of your new landscaping project.

We use a state of the art CAD system to create all of our landscape designs. Our designers are highly trained in the use of this system and are able to combine it with their knowledge and creativity to produce a design that can truly be called a work of art itself. This scaled drawing assists the client with envisioning their own outdoor living space, and it is the guide by which our installation crews create the final product.

Complete customer satisfaction is our goal on every job, and the design is the map that leads us to that destination. Designs can take many forms. They can map out a small planting area or they can be a master plan that creates a new or renovates an existing landscape in its entirety. Here's what you can expect from the Barkman design process.

Initial Contact: Typically a phone call or website form where we collect information about the customer and the project.

First Meeting:  Ideas are discussed covering the major components of the project and budgets are addressed at this time.

Design & Estimate:  Once the requirements are established, a creative design is drafted with all the needs of the customer in mind.  A cost estimate is also computed at this time.

Second Meeting:  A presentation is given addressing the customer’s needs, and the contract guidelines are reviewed.  Sometimes, minor changes in the drawing or bid are needed, in that case, a third meeting is required.  Once everything is in order, the contract is signed.
